Where Clarity
Begins
Lumivest was founded on the conviction that better financial decisions come from deeper understanding — not louder headlines or complex jargon.

A Different Kind of Financial Education
Lumivest was established in 2019 by a small team of financial advisers who had spent years noticing the same pattern: clients often understood the products they held, but not the broader context that made those products appropriate — or not — for their lives.
Rather than continuing to see this as a service gap, the founding team chose to address it directly. The result was Lumivest: a financial education practice focused not on product distribution but on building the kind of understanding that helps people make considered, well-reasoned decisions for themselves.
The name comes from the Latin lumen — light — paired with the notion of investment. Not financial investment alone, but investment in one's own capacity to navigate money with greater confidence. Over five years, the practice has worked with hundreds of professionals, couples, and individuals across Singapore, from those starting their financial learning journey to those seeking a comprehensive review of a complex financial picture.
We do not sell financial products. We do not receive commissions from third parties. Our work is funded entirely by programme fees, which means our focus is entirely on the quality and usefulness of the education we provide.
Our Mission
To create the conditions for genuine financial understanding — equipping individuals with the knowledge, context, and confidence to make decisions that reflect their own values and circumstances.
Core Values
- Clarity over complexity — We believe financial concepts can be explained simply without losing accuracy.
- Independence — No product agenda, no commissions, no conflicts of interest.
- Respect — Every client's situation is treated with care, without assumptions or judgement.

How We Hold Ourselves Accountable
Education in a financially sensitive context carries real responsibility. These are the standards we build every programme around.
Regulatory Compliance
All educational content is reviewed to ensure alignment with MAS guidelines. We make clear distinctions between education and financial advice, and do not cross that line.
Client Confidentiality
Personal financial information shared during programmes is handled with strict discretion. We have a formal confidentiality policy that all facilitators adhere to.
Qualified Facilitation
Every programme is led by a facilitator with direct professional experience in financial advisory or tax planning — not generalist educators working from scripts.
Current Content
Programme materials are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in Singapore's tax, CPF, and regulatory environment. What we teach today is relevant today.
Participant Feedback
We collect structured feedback after every cohort and use it to refine our approach. Participant experience shapes how each programme evolves over time.
Independence Policy
Lumivest does not accept referral fees, commissions, or any form of compensation from financial product providers. Our independence is a structural commitment, not just a value statement.
Financial Literacy for Singapore's Working Professionals
Singapore's financial environment is distinctive — shaped by CPF regulations, unique property ownership structures, the Supplementary Retirement Scheme, a competitive personal income tax system, and a growing range of wealth planning considerations that affect decisions across every stage of adult life.
Lumivest programmes are built around this context. Rather than drawing on generic financial education material designed for other markets, our content is developed from the ground up with Singapore's regulatory and social landscape in mind. From the interaction between SRS contributions and chargeable income, to how property ownership affects CPF usage, to the way estate planning considerations differ in a Singaporean household — these specifics matter, and we address them directly.
Our work draws on competencies in personal tax structuring, behavioural finance, investment frameworks, insurance assessment, and estate planning — always in service of education rather than product recommendation. The result is a learning experience that feels relevant, grounded, and genuinely useful for the decisions participants are actually facing.
